Yep, I've succombed
So I've succombed to the peer pressure to start a blog. I was the only family member on my side not to have one so I thought I better join the crowd. Writing that sentence brings back memories of "If all your friends decided to jump off a bridge, would you?" Well, this time the consequences won't be so dire.
I've actually been thinking about a blog for quite some time as it would be the most effective way to let family members and others know what is going on here and what we are doing for school. But I couldn't come up with a decent name for a blog. And I still don't have one but it will have to do until I come up with something better. Dan's only request for the title was that it not have any form of the word "happen" since both Laurie's and Mom's blogs have that in their titles.
Dan and the kids are gone this weekend to his parents' house so I am home alone. I have to work Sat, Sun and Mon nights. That means I am free to do whatever I want until then!! Dan asked if I was looking forward to having some time alone. I answered with a resounding, "Yes!" He was a little disheartened needless to say. On his way out, he joked that I was going to start sending him and the kids away for a weekend once a month.
So far today I have done some laundry (and managed to put it away), washed the dishes (our dishwasher has been broken for about 6 weeks), started this blog, took a nap and organized the kitchen pantry. I have about a million other things I want to get done while they are gone, but I know I'll only get 4 or 5 done. Unfortunately I do have to actually go to work this weekend.
Well, I better get moving on my list.

Awesome, Anne!! I have really enjoyed reading John & Erika's blog, so I know I will enjoy yours too. We'll probably get more of those little stories of the funny things your kids say--I love those!
btw, I don't claim that my blog name is very interesting. It was the best I could come up with, and I decided not to devote any more thought to it. I'll have to get Sean to think about it--he's creative that way. :) I like "Minnesota Musings" though!
Our blog name is pretty boring too, but I figured simple is better than nothing. I can't wait to read more of your posts!
